The real list That's it. The big lie What OMXUS replaces State layer (the duplication)

The real list

1. Food that's safe

Grow it, buy it, share it. It shouldn't poison you.

That's it. That's the entire food policy.

What exists now: Food Standards Australia, FSANZ, state health inspectors, food labelling laws, agricultural subsidies, import regulations, 14 agencies across federal/state.

What's actually needed: A rule — if it's not proven safe, it doesn't go in food. A database anyone can search. Done.

2. Water

Clean. Available. Free.

What exists now: State water authorities, local council water, Murray-Darling Basin Authority, water trading markets (yes, they trade water like stocks).

What's actually needed: Pipes. Maintenance. Testing. That's a local job. Not a federal department.

3. Shelter

A place to sleep that's warm and dry and yours.

What exists now: State housing authorities, homelessness services, rental tribunals, foreign investment rules (barely enforced), negative gearing, capital gains discounts, first home buyer schemes that inflate prices, housing affordability inquiries that conclude "it's complicated."

What's actually needed: Houses are for living in (Goal 9 (housing for living) (housing for living)). Stop foreign speculation. Stop treating housing as investment. Supply exists — distribution is broken.

4. Health

When something's wrong with your body or mind, help is available.

What exists now: Medicare, PBS, state hospitals, private health insurance rebate, PHNs, LHDs, NDIS, mental health plans (10 sessions lol), My Health Record, TGA, AHPRA, 6 state health departments, hundreds of local health districts.

What's actually needed: If you're sick, you get help. Your records are yours. Prevention first (Goal 14 (cancer prevention) (cancer prevention)). Connection and meaning, not pharmaceuticals for loneliness. CAHOOTS model for crisis (Goal 5 (replace police with community response) (replace police with community response)).

5. Safety

Not getting hurt. Knowing your people come if you need them.

What exists now: Federal police, state police, local police, courts, corrections, child protection, domestic violence services, emergency services (fire, ambulance, SES), border force, ASIO.

What's actually needed: Community. The $29 ring (Goal 13 ($29 emergency ring) ($29 emergency ring)). Your people in 60 seconds. For actual dangers (fire, flood, medical), trained responders. For everything else — the system currently creates more harm than it prevents. Norway proved it (Goal 3 (free all prisoners) (free all prisoners)). CAHOOTS proved it (Goal 5 (replace police with community response) (replace police with community response)).

6. Learning

Understanding the world. Skills. Curiosity satisfied.

What exists now: Federal education department, state education departments, ACARA (curriculum), ATAR, NAPLAN, universities, TAFE, VET, student loans (HECS), USI, school funding wars (public vs private vs Catholic).

What's actually needed: Play, mastery, curiosity (Goal 12 (play-based education) (play-based education)). Kids learn by doing, not by sitting. The entire testing/ranking/sorting system exists to produce workers, not humans.

7. Connection

Other humans. Belonging. Being known.

What exists now: Nothing. Government doesn't do this. That's the problem. They build services for everything except the thing that actually matters. Loneliness kills more people than smoking. There is no Department of Connection.

What's actually needed: Community design. Public spaces that bring people together. The mesh network (Goal 8 (free internet) (free internet)). The $29 ring. Monkey bars at bus stops (Goal 11 (physical infrastructure) (physical infrastructure)) — sounds silly until you realise it makes strangers talk to each other.

8. Purpose

Something to do that matters.

What exists now: "Mutual obligations." Job diary. Workforce Australia. The message is: your purpose is to be employed, and if you're not, you're broken.

What's actually needed: 22hr work week (Goal 2 (22-hour work week) (22-hour work week)). The other hours? Community governance, direct democracy, raising kids, making things, helping neighbours. Purpose comes from contribution, not employment.

9. Justice

When someone wrongs you, it's made right. Not revenge. Resolution.

What exists now: Courts, lawyers, magistrates, DPP, legal aid (underfunded), tribunals, ombudsmen, royal commissions that recommend things that never happen.

What's actually needed: Direct approach → voucher escalation → town meeting → viewswap (Goal 4 (replace courts with restoration) (replace courts with restoration)). The current system performs authority, not justice. Tia's case proves it.

10. Movement

Bodies need to move. Every day. It's not optional.

What exists now: Nothing. Sport funding for elites. Gyms you pay for. Footpaths.

What's actually needed: Climbing walls on stairwells. Monkey bars at bus stops. Pull-up bars in parks. Public space designed for human bodies (Goal 11 (physical infrastructure) (physical infrastructure)). The most efficient way to go up? Climb.

11. Information

Knowing what's true. Access to knowledge. Not being lied to.

What exists now: ABC (defunded), SBS, media ownership laws (barely enforced), ACMA, eSafety Commissioner, "misinformation" laws that protect power not truth.

What's actually needed: Mesh network (Goal 8 (free internet) (free internet)). No gatekeepers. Knowledge DB (already being built — wiki.omxus.com). Evidence-based everything. The research exists. People just don't know.

12. Identity

Knowing who you are. Being recognised as real. Having agency over your own existence.

What exists now: Birth certificates, passports, driver's licenses, myID, myGov, Medicare cards, tax file numbers, ABNs, student numbers. Dozens of identities, none of them yours. All owned by the issuer.

What's actually needed: VexID. One identity. You own it. Derived from you, not issued by anyone. Already built.

That's it.

12 things. Food, water, shelter, health, safety, learning, connection, purpose, justice, movement, information, identity.

Everything else government does is either:

The big lie

Government says: "These services are complex because life is complex."

Truth: These services are complex because complexity justifies headcount. A simple system doesn't need 1,371 entities.

The entire welfare state is a Rube Goldberg machine for delivering 12 basic things.

What OMXUS replaces

Not government. Not services. The gatekeeping layer.

The 12 things still need doing. Food still needs growing. Water still needs pipes. Sick people still need doctors. But the layer between the person and the thing they need — that's what's bs. All of it.

State layer (the duplication)

Every state rebuilds the same thing:

That's 9 versions of everything. 9 identity systems. 9 health departments. 9 police forces. 9 court systems.

Same citizen. Same needs. 9 bureaucracies.

VexID + OMXUS = 1.
